Forget all you have heard about weight loss. There are only 2 things you need to do to loose body fat:
- Eat right
Another lie you may hear is something similar to the title of this video: HOW TO LOOSE BODY FAT IN 2 DAYS. It is just an attention grabber based on simple psychology: if I tell you what you want to hear, you are more likely to listen to me. The title is a misnomer as stated. So if you are watching this video so you can learn to loose the body fat, you probably spent 5 years acquiring, in 2 days, I am so sorry to disappoint you. That’s not what this video is about. Even Plastic Surgeons who cut open patients and cut out the fat can’t do your entire body fat in 2 days.
But if you want to hear the truth about loosing your body fat, that is, face, arms, stomach, legs, your entire body fat, then all you have to do is to click on the red subscription button below and the bell icon that appears after. Youtube will notify you when I post the remaining video in this weight loss health series.
So let’s dive right into it.
For those who want their body fat gone in 60 seconds, you need to understand how the fat is formed in the first place. Maybe then you can appreciate the process of “removing” it.
So you need to drive between 2 states in your country in your small Honda saloon car and need a certain amount of fuel; Say 50 litres of gasoline. However, you went out and got 200 litres of fuel. Your car needs just 50 litres for your trip but you bought 200. This means you have to store away 150 litres somewhere in the car: the passenger side, back seat, boot or trunk, on top of the car, anywhere on the car.
25 miles through your journey, you stopped at a filling station to top up your fuel tank to the brim and thought to yourself, “Wait a minute, I can do better. Let me buy 100 more litres and add to the one I have in the back seat.” Smiling at your ingenuity, you loaded up more fuel.
Later on that day, you bought some 10 litres of fuel here and there. But finally, you got to your destination and to celebrate the success of the trip, you bought 500 litres of fuel. Awesome.
The next day, while driving back you do the same exact thing and it has been that way for the past 5 years. Give or take.
I should imagine that by now, you need a trailer to haul around the extra fuel you have been buying. You see where I am going with this? The good thing about this analogy is that to solve the problem, all you need to do is to decide to buy only the fuel necessary for your trips and give away or sell the remaining you have been stock piling as if the Zombie Apocalypse is next month.
Unfortunately, with your body, you can’t just off load the excess fuel. So let’s continue with the car analogy. If your body was a car, here is how you loose the excess fuel; you will drive to a race track or increase your daily trips to 4 states instead of 2, anything but keep your car running so that you will burn the fuel in the fuel tank AS WELL AS all the ones in the back of the trailer. No easy short cuts.
Now, here is the million dollar question: How long do you think it will take you to burn out all the accumulated fuel? 2 days? 10 days? A month? I don’t think so. If you do not want to breakdown while loosing your body fat, then you need to make loosing weight a lifestyle and not a periodic process because the transformation is gradual. Very gradual. And I will tell you why.
Your body is so adaptive that if you loose weight fast, you are most likely to gain it back because to your body, loosing weight is not your normal practice. So in the bid to help you get back to “normal”, your body will fight to get back the weight lost because all the natural chemicals in your body is already tuned to gaining weight.
However, if you make loosing weight a lifestyle, your body will do what it does best: Adapt. It will gradually reduce all the chemicals that instruct your cells to store fat and increase the ones that use it. At a certain point, your body will be so in sync with the weight loss lifestyle that you may throw up when you eat food that goes against the system your body is operating at that time.
How long does it take for the excess calories to turn to fat?
I would like to point out that the stated time is the time it takes your body to digest the food you ate and get the nutrients in it released to the cells. This process is continues as long as you eat periodically. Different food type take long or shorter to digest, thus the time variation.
Do you want to hear a big one? Your body DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT EXCESS MEANS. The human body is a magnificent dynamic machine designed to adapt to most conditions you expose it to over a period of time. When you eat more food than your body requires, your body will do what it is designed to do: it adapts. Your stomach walls expands to accommodate the food you forced down your throat. After digestion, it store the nutrients for you. Your body general believes that you are always right even when you are wrong. Your body is your number 1 fan. You want energy put away for you for future use? Your body goes excitedly, “Okay, boss. It could be the Zombie Apocalypse is next month and you want to store up energy for the ensuing famine.” It gets to work and stores the energy as body fat for you.
The problem is that it’s never the Zombie Apocalypse and you never get around using the stored energy. So you keep accumulating it, getting fatter, until your organs start breaking down and you gradually die from the inside. Mmh, too bad. Well, by the time we are through with this series, you will have a clear idea what to do.
Now that I have given you an illustrative view of how you got obese. Let me address another danger hiding in plain sight in this complex topic of the body mechanism.
Why is your brain not alerting you to the danger?
If you have not yet wondered why your brain does not tell you to stop storing energy as vehemently as it tells you to run from fire or a wild animal, well, that’s because the answer, like I said, is hiding in plain sights.
There are 2 reasons:
- Conditioned Reflex Action
The food and beverage industry understand sugar so well that they won’t be happy with me letting you in on this secret. Carbohydrates in your food are digested to sugar before being absorbed into the blood stream to be transported to the storage area, ie your face, arms, stomach, buttock, laps, generally under your skin as subcutaneous fat or more commonly known as body fat. Sugar is the most common source of energy for your body, so your brain naturally lights up when you see a sugary food like ice cream, cake and most drinks. You see why you are a sweet tooth? Anything your brain recognizes as sugary, it wants. The food and beverage industry know this, so they add sugar to virtually everything they produce. Drinks, processed food and meat contain sugar among other chemicals that your body do not need. So once you eat the food of a particular brand, the sugar keeps you in love it. Since you and your brain are in love, what can go wrong? If only there is something like Conditioned Reflex Action.
Conditioned Reflex Action
Good News! There is. Like walking, driving, swimming, your brain had to learn how to do those activities. Due to half-truthful information put out by marketing companies and sponsored research companies, a lot of people have trained their brains to accept or suppress conditions that your brain would naturally scream foul.
When you experience something new, for instance, for the first time you order the biggest pizza the shop sells, your brain tells you that the pizza you bought is too big for you to finish in a sitting. You reply subconsciously, that you are really, really hungry and do not want to have left overs that won’t taste as good as the fresh thing later. When you carry on this conversation with your brain on a few more occasions, your brain adapts. The next time you run into a large portion of food, rather than tell you that the food is too big for one portion, it gives you your usually answer. It goes “Common boss, you can finish it. There can’t be any leftovers. You know the leftovers don’t taste as good as the fresh thing later.” Congratulations my friend! You have successful conditioned your brain to accept certain action by reflex. Thus the term, Conditioned Reflex Action.
Don’t worry. We are all victims of this and we will later use it to our favour.
Well, that’s enough information for one sitting. Just in case I lost you through the whole analogies and medical explanations, here is a quick recap.
- The reason you are fat is mostly because your body is storing more energy from the foods you eat than you actually need.
- The reason your brain does not alert you of this danger is because of processed sugar and Conditioned Reflex Action.
